they sell bodies for $200...
I thought maybe it was a way for them to make a few bucks on us after we were dead!
this is in response to the thread about the supposed suicide of a bethelite in 1995.. in 1970 when i went to bethel we signed a form stating that "if we died while at bethel the wathtower bible and tract society had the rights to our body.
yes, we thought it strange at the time but as a twenty year old you didn't think much about it.. i know of two brothers who killed themselfs while at bethel and two others who tried end their lives.
my guess is people have been killing themselfs at bethel long before i ever got there.

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.
Speaking of line-o-type does any remember Houston Roberts my first table head in 1970? married judy whats-her- butt?

anyway...back on track
Come on guys the society is not killing people at bethel...well not directly.
Some people have died under strange circumstances. The Society does want or ever has wanted bad press.
Thats all....the body thing just helps with all that.
black thursday september 1972. knorr gathered all the bethel "heavies" and gb to the kh in the 119 building.
the three freds (circuit overseers).............and about 50 brothers.....thats right only 50. the other guys chickened out, they knew it was going to be a blood bath.
i was there with 7 others from the launrdy............... it started out with dan smoally (not even 30 years old and partaking) telling about what max larson (head of the whole factory) told him "there was no way he was one of the anointed!
This be Bethel weekend.

Yes that could be it too.
But what about Jimmy Olson who killed himself? He had a family.... and they still kept the body?

Now, the "form" signing your body over makes perfect sence.
The good Doctor there will sign the death certificate...and the body they keep...
Other wise why have such a form?
i'm new here and am hoping to get some support and become normal again.
i'm going to tell my story below, sorry in advance for how long it is, but i've really gotta get a grip on who i am now and what i need to do.
since before my baptism and for four years, my children and i attended every meeting.
Moma Mia
There is still plenty of life ahead....enjoy.
I was in it for over 50 years....where there is life there is hope.
don't get me wrong...........there was no one more self righteous then me at 19. moved to kansas at 18 to pioneer and even printed up cards that said............ "have sword with travel"---------contact casarona salina kansas------ aaa (availabe after armegeddon)-----ss (sacred service)...... oh, i was full of myself!
thought of myself as a spiritual gun fighter.
to defend truth, justice and all the watchtower bible and tract society stood for.
Some folks ask me to bring my bethel experiences out of the bone yard for the newer ones here.
I'm screwed now...no resurrection hope, I wish I had listened to the Jehovah's Witnesses when they came to the door with that "Awake" artical about "Vacations are they good for you?"
back to the food..........the saying was "its the best food in the world before they cook it" the coffee was the really bad.
they would take a 55 lb.
bag of good coffee beans and boil the shit out of it.the joke was if anyone could find the guy that made the coffee, and kill him, our production nwould go up and armageddon could finally come.
Delilah wanted part II so...there you go!
